Theology Requires
Complete Honesty

1 John 1:3 “We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us.”

You’ve heard that it has been said, ‘let’s agree to disagree.’ In theology, we can’t do that.

2 Corinthians 8:21 “For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man.”

The truth about heaven and earth, God and the Bible, Jesus and salvation may not be distorted. Just as there is one God, there is only one TRUE Doctrine regarding the fundamentals of the faith that MUST be kept and upheld as a banner of righteousness and truth at all cost! Anything less would be a lie.

Colossians 3:9 “Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices.”

In all honesty, truth is love. If you really care for a person’s soul, you can’t mislead them. Theology is such an important topic because it offers the keys to eternal life and the wrong key won’t open the door.

Ephesians 5:11 “Have nothing to do with fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.”

A good theologian understands the truth and teachers it Faithfully. He confronts false Gospels and exposes false Doctrine. We can’t agree to disagree when it comes to the fundamentals of the faith. We follow Christ, the Bible, and the Holy Spirit in all truth.

2 Timothy 2:2 “And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to TEACH OTHERS ALSO.”

Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”

Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”

Proverbs 12:18 “There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”

And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well. Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs. So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!”
