FInally, after 50 years of dislocated knees, I was able to get it fixed! I had my left leg Surgery Knee Replacement done in July, and it went like a perfect textbook surgery! Everything went well. So, I decided to go ahead with my Right Knee Replacement surgery.\u00a0 I am a teacher, so I had to take off one\u00a0 month of school in December.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>I went in for surgery on November 21st, and everything went wrong! During the surgery,\u00a0 I woke up and was able to hear the doctors talking and music playing! I saw some x-rays hanging up near me, and I thought, wow, that person&#8217;s leg is deformed! Meanwhile,\u00a0 the Orthopedic Surgeon noticed that I was awake! So she gave me a cocktail of medication to put me back to sleep.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Then, when it was over, I woke up. My husband, Peter, was there with me. Then my mom came in and took turns visiting me with my mom. About 30 minutes after waking up, I was in horrible pain! It was so bad, I started screaming! Then, one nurse came and gave me a shot of Fetinol! I went to sleep and woke up again, about 30 minutes later,\u00a0 screaming again, but this time it was because I was delirious and though I saw brown snakes crawling on the wall! I was supposed to go home that day, but my mom stood up for me and said that I should not go home until my pain was under control.\u00a0 So the doctor decided to keep me overnight.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Later, the surgeon told me that it was an extremely difficult surgery because when they opened up my knee, it was dislocated! So that x-ray that I saw was really my knee x-ray. They had to reconstruct my leg before they could do the knee replacement surgery!<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Then. overnight, I continued to have pain. Then, I also had an asthma attack!\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>So the next day, I was telling the nurses who were attending to me all that happened and the suffering that I went through. I asked my husband,\u00a0 Peter, if he could bring in some P.W.T.&#8217;s and medical testaments from the car. P.W.T. stands for personal workers New Testament.) So, I then\u00a0 led several nurses to the Lord, showing them the PWT&#8217;s and\u00a0 medical new testaments, and how to be saved by reading the last page in the Gideons&#8217; Bible. Then, several more nurses and physical therapists came in to see me and also took a Gideons&#8217; Bible! So, in the end, even though I suffered through this surgery with a lot of problems,\u00a0 God helped me to focus on the nurses and their need for salvation!<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>A month later, I had a severe infection in that surgery site. So I had to return to a redo surgery to clean it out! I now have had to be off work for several months due to having two wounds that are still healing. God continues to provide in that my short-term disability came through.\u00a0 Praise the Lord!<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Proverbs 3:5-6 says, &#8220;<strong><em><mark>Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding.
